ABOUT

Director and Principal Consultant, Keith Baldry is a highly experienced leader with 20 years as a senior executive in the South Australian government.

​

Using his extensive practical experience in environmental science, radiation safety, mining and energy, industry transformation, waste management, and regulatory policy and practice, he seeks to enable more effective approaches to sustainability and compliance. He demonstrated an ability to develop strategic approaches to highly complex, political, and contentious issues, and build relationships across government and industry.

His background includes 30 years’ in nuclear and radiation safety in Australia and the UK, and he is an expert consultant to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). He is contributing author to IAEA standards, current Presiding Member of South Australia’s Radiation Protection Committee, and past Chair of Australia’s radiation standards committee the ARPANSA RHC.

 

​​Keith is highly experienced in public engagement, risk communication, and with media. He has led the EPA response to high-profile issues, incidents and emergencies, and worked with communities on the journey from concern and outrage to agreed solutions. ​​​As a leader, Keith prioritised mentoring, motivating, and building high-performing teams, fostering a culture where people could innovate and deliver more.

From the UK, Keith first moved to Australia in 1996. He has lived with his family in Belair South Australia since 2004. He has a BSc (Hons) in Physics from the University of Manchester.
