A week at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna on the draft Safety Guide: National Policies and Strategies for the Safety of Radioactive Waste and Spent Fuel Management, Decommissioning and Remediation DS526.
An important and timely project (with a long title) aiming to assist countries in safe, sustainable, and nationally coordinated approaches to waste management and decommissioning.
Some highly expert people to work with, Boris Brendebach chairing. Congratulations Anna Clark and team, good luck with the next steps.

IAEA mission Egypt

An IAEA project with the Nuclear Materials Authority in Cairo, with Chairman Dr Hamed Mira and his excellent team. An International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) project on managing radioactive wastes, as Egypt develops its uranium and rare earths production. A chance also to meet and present to university students training with NMA.Maria de Lurdes Dinis from the University of Porto added the technical talent to the mission. Thanks Dr Mohamed Taha for making the stay in Cairo so enjoyable and effective.
